Levav Leadership Consulting
Facilitating courageous cultures by paying attention to the inner life of leaders.
Helping people and organizations get emotionally healthy.
My work is designed with the belief that when individuals and leaders within an organization are developed and given tools that build courage, strengthen emotional health, and improve team functioning, everyone benefits. This work is a gift that organizations offer to their employees, as the learning provided will help them both personally and professionally. However, organizations must be ready for this work. As individuals in your organization get emotionally healthy, expectations will rise for the organization to be healthy as well. Emotionally Healthy Leadership is a collective work. You will not do this work perfectly, but the skills and tools learned will give you the courage to try, fail, get back up, and try again.
'Most of us think of ourselves as thinking creatures that feel, but we are actually feeling creatures that think.'
- Jill Bolte Taylor
It’s always tempting to see how other people need this work, but this work begins with you. As you build skills around emotional health, the people around you will benefit. Emotionally healthy people help the people around them get emotionally healthy.
Emotional health begins with you.

Testimonials
Melissa Hiatt has been leading an annual day-long training for our clinical therapy staff for 6 years now. Melissa is a highlight, and our team is always glad to have her back. She offers instruction and insight through coaching, activities, group, and introspective work. She helps our team embrace vulnerability, lean into hard topics and conversations, builds off our collective strengths, and leaves the team feeling empowered and restored.
Ondrea Patzlaff, Former Director of Residential Treatment at Children’s Home Society of South Dakota
Melissa is passionate, intentional, collaborative, inclusive, knowledgeable, insightful, compassionate, and a great listener. I highly recommend Melissa's training and am confident you will find her to be all these things, and more.

Building confidence in my team's leadership is crucial to their growth. I want to give them every opportunity to build leadership skills. Bringing Melissa in to work with us, I saw many positive changes in the way the leadership viewed not only themselves but also how to work and communicate with others. It was fun to see the personal growth with each session as staff felt more comfortable sharing, knowing we were in a safe, respectful setting.
Melissa has a wonderful skill in keeping conversations on topic, sharing her own stories while bringing reality to the content
Gay Anderson SNS, Child Nutrition Coordinator, Sioux Falls School District
Melissa gave a keynote address at a statewide conference that my agency coordinated, and she did an amazing job. She was uplifting and inspiring, yet she made us think about how we interact with others and challenged us to be vulnerable. Her presentation style was engaging and conversational, and you could feel and hear her passion for her subject. Due to her passion, delivery style, and inspirational message, I invited her to be the final presenter at another conference I was coordinating. Again, she was enthusiastic and inspiring. One of the reviews stated that even though this was the third time they had heard Melissa present, they had "gotten something out of it each time." I would highly recommend Melissa as a keynote speaker!
